DSK-317 aND T-20 GEARBOXES
If you want to use the new HONDA engine on the DSK-317 or T-20 gearbox for two-stroke engines, it is most of all necessary to change the fastening rivets. Then it is possible to connect the engine to the gearbox. The lower revolutions of the HONDA engine result in lower travel speeds of the two-stroke gearbox for approx. 33 %. At the same time the customer will get a better transmission of the power to the wheels, that's why many customers don't rebuild the gearbox and continue to use it.
DSK-316 aND T-19 GEARBOXES
The situation is a bit different for the DSK-316 gearbox as the engine revolutions directly influence the working revolutions of the output shaft. Therefore it is not sufficient to change the fastening rivets, it is also necessary to rebuild the gearbox to the four-stroke version.
Ask your service workshop to rebuild the gearbox.
