All VARI products, equipped with four-stroke engines from the year of production in 2000, can be operated without restrictions with the new E10 fuel. Engines built before 2000 may experience reduced service life of rubber parts and seals as these engines have not been tested for E10 fuel.
Recommendations for all types of HONDA, KOHLER, VARI XP140/200 and BRIGGS&STRATTON engines used on VARI machines:
- Do not store fresh fuel for more than 1 month.
- Store only a small amount of gasoline.
- Store gasoline in a clean, approved, sealed container.
- Store gasoline away from sunlight.
- Store gasoline in a full container to prevent oxidation.
- Add fuel stabilizer to freshly refueled fuel.
For more information, please contact your AUTHORIZED VARI DEALER.
During use:
- Use gasoline that is less than 1 month after refueling or fuel treated with a fuel stabilizer.
- Always close the fuel tap when you stop using a machine and let the engine run until it runs out of fuel. (If the engine does not have a fuel tap, drain the fuel from the tank and let the engine run until the residual fuel comes out of the carburettor.) Keep the engine air filter clean.
Before storing for the winter:
- Drain the carburettor and fuel tank and read the engine's owner's manual for more information.
- Arrange an appointment for a "Winter maintenance service" at your authorized VARI dealer.
How to store fuel - maintaining your machine:
- To store gasoline for up to 3 months, add Stabilizer to gasoline according to its manufacturer's instructions.
- The fuel stabilizer will not restore the quality of the old fuel.
- There are different types of alkylated gasoline on the market, e.g. ASPEN 4, which can be used to replace the gasoline, always read the manufacturer's instructions.
