Mulching in forest tree nurseries 29. 10. 2025

Are you the owner of a forest tree nursery? Or are you planning to plant a new forest? Or are you planning to plant a Christmas tree nursery? Whatever the case may be, when planting a new forest, nursery, or Christmas tree plantation, it is necessary to ensure that the young trees are not suffocated by long grass in the first few years. How can this be achieved?

After all, you need to cut the grass between the trees regularly, about 3 - 4 times a year. How, you ask? You could use a brushcutter, but that's a lot of work on big areas and it's never-ending. It's much easier and more efficient to use a VARI mulcher, which fits perfectly between the rows thanks to its 60 - 70 cm working width. You can choose, for example, the new F-590 Hurricane PRO mulcher with a four-speed gearbox with reverse and a KOHLER COMMAND PRO CV224 engine, or the largest and most powerful F-700 HYDRO with a hydrostatic transmission with reverse and a HONDA GXV390 engine. Both also have an automatic differential lock, making them easy to work with on slopes and uneven terrain. Don't believe they can help you? Then test them out. Contact a VARI representative and arrange a test right in your own terrain. You might fall in love and get yourself a new "grass-eater" ;-)
