Brush sweepers

The first cylindrical brush was an adapter for the VARI system, namely the OK-1000. It was our first cylindrical brush with side adjustment and was sold in the days when there were practically no other brushes on our market. That is why they became very popular, especially in small cities and towns for the maintenance of sidewalks, roads or cemeteries, and many of them are still used today. Later, new types of brush sweepers came on the market: KV-100 and KV-100/Z. They already had a modern design, better and more efficient drive, an additional tank with sprinkler and as an accessory a collector with a big volume for collecting swept material. During the innovation, these sweepers were given spiral bristles for even more efficient sweeping and, above all, for the possibility of using them on snow in winter without the need to change the type of bristles. However, their production has already been discontinued.

The demand for cleaning machinery is constantly growing, especially in the category of small compact brushes with the width of up to 100 cm. That's why VARI focus on the development of single-purpose sweeping brushes. The need of larger working widths is usually solved by larger municipal machines.

The first single-purpose brush sweeper was the CB-80 model. During its design, there was a requirement for good manoeuvrability, short construction length and good balance of the machine. We have created a very compact yet robust brush, with which users will appreciate the excellent ergonomics of the control elements, manoeuvrability even in narrow spaces or the excellent traction of the wheels on slippery surfaces. The light weight and easy transport, e.g. in a car are the matter of course. Spiral bristles and a wide range of accessories, such as a collector, dust cover or snow blade, only emphasize the high standard of our product within the category. When constructing, we used a number of professional solutions, mainly in the connection of accessories, but also in the overall structure of the construction of the small brush. It goes without saying that we use high-quality and tried-and-tested components, which we also use in large series on our other machines – mulchers and drum mowers, e.g. proven worm gears with a bronze wheel in an oil bath or Kevlar V-belts. The brush is completely manufactured in VARI with components from domestic or EU suppliers.

A new generation of CB sweeping brushes is currently in production, which includes the CB-800 and CB-1000 brush sweepers. The CB-800 and CB-1000 sweepers are built on an innovative chassis, which is based on the previous CB-80 model, but with many improvements. For example, the handles and control levers were unified and are the same as at drum mowers and mulchers. Furthermore, the diameter of the sweeping cylinders has been increased, so they have a longer service life and at the same time greater sweeping dynamics. It is also possible to choose two sweep widths of the sweeping cylinders, namely 80 cm and 100 cm. As a result, there is also an additional accessory, which is now available in both widths. Wheels of existing models can be fitted with snow chains.

The CB-800 and CB-1000 brush sweepers also have their electric variants marked CB-800E and CB-1000E, which are fitted with EGO battery engine. These sweepers are a very silent solution for premises of various institutions, hospitals, public administration and parks. There is no maintenance such as changing oil, spark plugs, filters or refuelling when using this machine. Moreover, no effort with pulling the starting rope.

Although the CB-800/CB-800E and CB-1000/CB-1000E brushes are priced in the hobby class, they are not afraid of professional usage. They can be used by municipalities and technical services for the maintenance of sidewalks and driveways, as well as other companies for the maintenance of various premises, schools, parking, hospitals or gas stations. Simply everywhere where you need to clean quickly and carefully throughout the year.

The imaginary tip of the glacier among single-purpose brush sweepers is the VARI CB-1000 PRO, which is intended for demanding use and a large area. In its development, proven components from the BDR-720 ADELA PRO drum mower and the RKV-1000 brush sweeper (for the RAPTOR HYDRO carrier) were used. It is equipped with a HONDA GCV200 engine and a 4+R mechanical gearbox with automatic differential lock. The gearbox drives large 10" wheels, which can be equipped with snow chains for winter operation. For large areas, the AV-650 seat can also be attached to the sweeper. The sweeping cylinders have a working width of 100 cm and two sweeping speeds can be set. The sweeping brush is equipped with additional two guide wheels, which are independently adjustable in height. This allows you to achieve the required pressure of the sweeping bristles against the swept surface. The CB-1000 PRO can also be equipped with a collector, a dozer blade and a dust cover.
